New house!

Ok so WOW. Blog Fail.

I haven’t updated since the week before I got married, which was almost 6 months ago! The wedding went off without a hitch... except the groomsmen getting sick the day of the wedding so we had to have an usher fill in and then the post-wedding drama with the photographer threatening to not give me my photos. That’s not too bad, right? :)

But, Hawaii was amazing so it made it all worth it!

Now onto the for real good news! We made an offer on a house and it was accepted! You may ask, why are you buying a house after only 6 months of being married? Because we’re ready and we can afford it, so why not?! Rent is a waste of money! We were originally going to wait until the spring, but when we found out we can get out of our current renting lease we figured we could start looking early! Of course, looking early causes you to find houses you love, and with the economy and housing market the way it is we found some good deals with a very low interest rate on mortgages! In fact, we spoke to some older friends of ours and they said that their mortgage in the 90's was at 12%, and we thought our 3% was high! I don’t know how people afforded homes in the 90's! They ended up spending triple the asking price of the house with all the interest they were charged!

Well.. here it is! Our beautiful 3 bedroom home with a HUGE backyard! In fact, that was one of the huge selling features!
