TOP: The Organic Project

Image
I recently had an awesome opportunity to try out some feminine hygiene products from the TOP project.  TOP products are crafted with 100% organic cotton and are 100% biodegradable, so I can rest assured that what I'm using on my body is completely safe! TOP provides a subscription service, which as a part of my samples I didn't get to try, but isn't that genius!? I mean, these are products you KNOW you're going to need every month, so doesn't it make complete sense to just go ahead and get it delivered monthly?! You can customize exactly what products you want, choose how often you want your box delivered, and you have the ability to hold or cancel at any time! Plus, you can add one-time purchase items or make changes whenever you want! As a part of my sample, I received tampons, liners, and ultra thin pads. Let me tell you, I don't use pads very often, but these were so amazingly comfortable! It felt just like I was wearing regular cotton underwea

Smart Home

Have you been interested in making your home a "smart home"? Hubby and I have been slowly adding devices and features to make our home more connected and easy to control. Now it's become an addiction! I am constantly looking for more devices to make our lives easier! Who doesn't love easy convenience, especially when you have little ones at home?! Below is a list of products that we have purchased recently for our smart home. 1. Amazon Echo - https://amzn.to/2LPC1kG This acts as the main hub to control all of the devices in your home. What's awesome is that most of them can be voice activated. You just have to enable some skills within the app to get some devices to work. It also serves a great radio that the kids can control and can be an intercom if you have multiple devices throughout your home. 2. Amazon smart plugs - https://amzn.to/2SyaZ3R This was especially handy during Christmas! I was able to setup the Christmas lights to come on and turn off at a

The 45 President's of the United States Song!

Image
With the presidential inauguration of Donald J. Trump only hours away today, I felt like it was appropriate to update the old President's Song I memorized in 4th grade. For some reason the song has always stuck with me, and it has been quite handy throughout the years when answering bar trivia questions! The song originally stopped after Clinton, ("Bush and Clinton and who knows some day it might be you!") but I have updated it as we have added new presidents over the years! I can't seem to find the original song anywhere, so if you happen to have it please post it in the comments! Below are the new lyrics and I hope to eventually make it into a video with the presidents pictures! Link to song: https://youtu.be/OQZzOLx5EQ8 Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe. These are the U.S. Presidents all lined up in a row! Adam, Jackson, Van Buren, Harrison, and Tyler. Polk, and Taylor, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan, Lincoln, Johnson. Grant,

What it takes to do a live-action Escape Room (and actually have fun doing it)!

Image
Have you heard of the live-action Escape Room craze that's sweeping the nation?! Basically, you pay a company to lock you in a room that contains hidden clues you must solve within a specific time limit in order to escape the room and essentially "win" the game. You book your adventure based on available time slots and each room has a minimum and maximum player range. If you are a small group, you will be paired up with another group to max out the room and make sure you have enough people to figure out the puzzle. Sound like fun? See any issues here? My husband and I have recently taken an interest in these adventures since they make awesome date nights and can be a fun experience to partake in with out of town visitors. Our city currently has at least 4 of these escape room companies, so there's lots of new rooms to try! I have completed 3 rooms, which honestly is nothing since I was told about one group of friends who have completed 18 rooms and solved a 45 minut

Little Journey line at Aldi!

Image
So, my favorite store just got even better! My family LOVES shopping at Aldi because the prices are amazing and the food is organic, but they just launched their new Little Journey baby product line and with two kids under 2 in our house this is the best news I've gotten all year! We couldn't wait to open our free box of Little Journey goodies! I love everything and as you can tell my oldest loves the pouches! She couldn't wait to eat it and she chowed down on the puffs right after taking this photo! She actually wanted to carry the whole carton around the house with her, but ended up dumping them all over the floor so now she will be eating floor puffs, but she couldn't care less! She loves the blueberry ones the best! The diapers and wipes are also awesome and comparable to Huggies. The wipes are quilted and I can get most of the mess in one swipe, which I can't say for all brands! Definitely the best wipes for the best price! My box also included a coupon fo

Heart Healthy Tips!

I just recently got the awesome opportunity to try some of Welch's 100% Grape Juice! I was sent a free sample in the mail and as soon as I got that baby I cracked open the bottle and poured myself a glass! It had a great flavor, and although a little sweet I watered it down and we all loved it. My toddler kept asking for more! Did you know that Welch's Grape Juice has all the same health benefits as red wine? I don't like red wine so this is a great alternative to keep my heart healthy! Plus you get two servings of fruit in each glass! I can drink to that! Now I want to try to make some of these yummy gummys or delicious fruit pops! https://www.welchs.com/recipes/desserts-and-snacks/concord-grape-gummies https://www.welchs.com/recipes/desserts-and-snacks/d-i-y-frozen-fruit-pops

Baby on the way!

Image
Wow - It's been a year since my last post! We have quite an update to share, we are expecting our first baby on November 19th! We already know that it is a little girl and we have started gathering baby items we need. Luckily, an awesome lady at work said she is done having children so she cleaned out her baby stash and gave it all to me for free! We got a bouncy seat, jumper, swing, pack and play, floor mat, mobile, and walker! Our baby girl is going to be living large! LOL. now, all we need to do is buy a crib and get this little girl some clothes to wear! We are planning on having a shower in October so we will see what we get then. Oh, and we cant decide on a name to save our lives... That should be fun! Poor girl may be the nameless baby at the hospital for a while!
